Self-custody explained

Self-custody means you control the keys that authorize transfers from your wallet. That control also makes address and recovery mistakes your responsibility.

Keys control funds

A seed phrase or private key can authorize wallet spending. Keep it offline and never enter it into MatrixSwaps or send it to support.

Receiving is network-specific

A wallet may display the same token symbol on several networks. Confirm that the receiving wallet supports the exact network selected for payout.

Backups are part of custody

Before moving meaningful value, verify that your wallet backup works and that you can identify the correct receiving account without exposing recovery material.

During a swap

MatrixSwaps does not control your destination wallet. You remain responsible for its address, network compatibility and access after payout.
